The space

Bangala rises from the foothills of Bangalow Village, overlooking the rolling Byron hinterland. The 100 acre estate centres on a grand, contemporary residence with soaring four metre ceilings and walls of glass that draw in the light and views. Around it, 3,000 macadamia trees, open meadows, and fifteen hectares of subtropical forest create a sense of space and seclusion, just two minutes to Bangalow and nineteen to Ballina Airport.
Mornings begin with breakfast prepared by our resident chefs, fruit from local farms, eggs to order, and coffee just how you like it. Afterwards, take in some exercise, swim in the horizon edge pool, book a massage in the private treatment room, or relax with a book on the terrace.
For those who wander, the estate stretches across orchards, forest, and open meadows. Walk among the rows of macadamias, find a hidden picnic spot by a creek, or explore the old railway line that once moved passengers to Byron Bay.
As the sun sets, aperitivo becomes a daily ritual. Enjoy a complimentary drink and nibbles on the terrace as the valley glows gold. Then choose between dinner in town at one of the area's many renowned restaurants, or a private dining experience prepared by our resident chefs.
When the evening draws in, return to the lounge for music by the fire, or retreat to your suite with a fine tea and handmade treats.
The Suites
Each suite at Bangala is a private haven of light, calm, and refined simplicity. Designed for rest and reconnection, every detail, from the stone textures to the soft linens.
Black travertine bathrooms feature double vanities, deep soaking baths, and walk in robes. King beds are dressed in fine linens with a selection of pillows for every sleeper. Guests are welcomed with a curated selection of local treats - roasted macadamias, handmade sweets, and Byron produce, along with premium teas, espresso coffee, and sparkling water. Bathrobes, a Dyson hairdryer, and custom amenities complete the experience.
